The Crew
We bought our first sailboat together, a Beneteau First 265, in 2020 during the COVID shutdown. We spent much of that year anchored in private coves on an inland lake in South Carolina.
We fell in love with life on the water and started talking about a life outside of the American rat race. When we decided to put our proverbial toe in the water, doors began opening, and we kept walking through them.
In 2022, we sold everything we owned and bought our floating home, Remedy, embarking on our marriage adventure: to live untethered, counterculturally, and more connected to God’s creation and our own humanity.
During our first two years, we explored much of the eastern seaboard—from Bahamas to Maine. It’s not an easy way to live—it’s disruptive, uncomfortable, and sometimes just plain hard. But it has transformed us in meaningful and important ways.

Ken is an adventure enthusiast, whether backpacking, mountain climbing, rock climbing, ice climbing, scuba diving, or sailing. He is always up for a challenge!
For the last thirty years, he wore a suit and tie by day, but on weekends, he was most likely to be found hanging from a cliff or on some other wacky adventure.
His joy for life and experiences is multiplied when he can share them with others, especially when he can introduce people to things they might not otherwise experience.
He bought his first sailboat, a Hobie 16, when he was 24 years old.
